Sanibel Island topped legendary travel destinations including Bali, Paris and St. Johns as Arthur Frommer’s 2012 favorite places to visit in the world. It is easy to fall in love with Sanibel during a visit to this beautiful barrier reef island. Despite the $6.00 LeeWay toll, I always look forward to a trip over the Sanibel Bridge as most of your worries just seem to melt away on this magical island.

This is quite the honor! Living here in Bonita Springs I have always known that Sanibel and Captiva are indeed special places, but to beat some of the top destinations in the world? Amazing!
I think you meant St. John not St. Johns right? St. John is the USVI island in the Caribbean that usually wins all the top destinations awards.
