Known for housing some of the best boating communities in the South Fort Myers area, Iona is desirable for its ease of reaching the Gulf via the Intracoastal. As well, the area is also coveted for its close proximity to the beautiful Captiva and Sanibel Island beaches.

Some of our favorite Iona neighborhoods additionally offer the enjoyment of luxurious homes and exclusive properties, water views and an array of upscale amenities.

Catalpa Cove

Catalpa Cove, in particular, features upscale homes fronting the Caloosahatchee River. In this boating community every home offers its own dedicated boat dock too, right on a deep-water access canal.

The nearly 80 single-family homes of Catalpa Cove range from around 2,800 to upwards of 5,000 square feet of living space, as well as include plentiful outdoor living and entertaining space. In addition, the community features upscale amenities ranging from tennis to a playground and lighted docks.

Jonathan Harbour

Exclusive Jonathan Harbour, in comparison, presents nearly 70 homes, situated on Connie Mack Island. This private setting makes it easy to enjoy some of the best of Southwest Florida living.

St Charles Harbour

Around 80 executive home sites exist within St Charles Harbour, a gated community that also includes dozens of acres of preserved woodlands, plus lakes and other waterways. The yachting community additionally features a full service marina with dozens of wet slips, plus dockside services and a manned gatehouse.

In addition, there’s a restaurant on-site, along with a community swimming pool and tennis. As well, residents of St Charles Harbour also enjoy the luxury of access to the Gordon Lewis-designed, Shell Point Golf Club.
