Site work is well underway for the first new residential high-rise in Downtown Fort Myers in years. Recently, the developer of Prima Luce unveiled details about the project, with plans for dual towers, each standing 22-stories high.
In symbolically turning over the first dirt at the site, developers kicked off what’s expected to result in more than 200 new residential units in the downtown area. If all goes as planned, crews hope to start actual construction this coming spring, with the entire project taking almost another two years to complete.
This could mean the first residents of Prima Luce move in to the new towers sometime in early 2020. Already, though, the project is gaining a lot of attention, and it shows with about one-third of the available units already reportedly sold.
Priced from the low $200,000s for one of the studios to upwards of $1 million for a penthouse unit, Prima Luce provides a wide variety of options for new residents. The units range from around 830 square feet to around 2,200 square feet in size, with nine available floor plans to choose from.
Perhaps most impressive is that each of the units offers the luxury of water views. The upscale property also affords the privilege of hundreds of feet of river frontage, including two private piers, complete with gazebos.
Other planned amenities of Prima Luce include a three-tiered swimming pool and spa, fitness center, yoga studio and library. In addition, the pet-friendly property will boast a social room with a catering kitchen and a virtual concierge. As well, residents are sure to enjoy the ease and convenience of garage parking access and private storage.
Set right along the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, it is perhaps the location, though, that proves the biggest selling point of all. Set in downtown, Prima Luce presents a wealth of options in dining, the arts, shopping and entertainment, mere steps away from the planned residences.
