A new homebuilder is now selling in Babcock Ranch, where Solara Homes recently joined as the eighth company constructing homes in the sustainable town. The small homebuilding company fits in with the development’s overall theme of green construction and energy-efficient designs.
Options from Solara include single-family homes and townhomes starting at around 1,600 square feet of living space. There are also opportunities for residences of up to 2,200 square feet in size, with either a two- or three-car garage.
The energy-efficient homes from Solara also provide for some private courtyard patios, swimming pools and spas and desirable rooftop garden terraces. As well, new buyers can expect to find such additions as in-law suites, French doors and large windows, with customizable construction possibilities.
Optional designs include the company’s “high-tech smart home”, with remote security video monitoring, a full home entertainment system and advanced fiber optic cable. As well, the “healthy home” option offers such features as an advanced water filtration system, a sauna, spa and home gym, as well as a fully non-VOC home.
Floor plans for the townhomes come in two-story designs, with at least 1,700 square feet of flexible living space. With two- to three-bedrooms and 2.5-baths, the townhomes are joining Lake Timber, the very first neighborhood of Babcock Ranch.
Priced starting in the $300,000s for a contemporary townhome or a single-family home, many of the planned residences from Solara will sit across from Founders Park. This allows for views of Lake Babcock and the downtown area.
In all, Babcock Ranch is expected to someday house around 19,000 homes, likely eventually including hundreds, if not thousands, of homes from Solara. Babcock Ranch is also home to Founder’s Square, the town’s central gathering place and business center, a health and wellness facility, a neighborhood school and miles upon miles of nature trails and outdoor recreational opportunities.
