If you’re looking for a “fun” place to call home, Fort Myers is the place to be! The city recently gained a spot on the list of “The 30 most fun places to live in the U.S.”.

At least that’s according to U.S. News & World Report, which came up with its ranking based on a variety of things including parks, sports, shopping and nightlife. For the 2019 ranking, Fort Myers came in at number 15 on the list.

Researchers took into consideration each city’s access to outdoor activities and parks, plus they mixed in restaurants and shopping venues, cultural attractions, professional sports teams, concerts and nightlife. They also considered how popular a destination is based on flights, and then ranked the 100 most populated metro areas to come up with a score for each.

In particular, researchers gave Fort Myers a ranking of number six for shopping and put it in the number eight spot for concert venues. While Fort Myers is home to about 700,000 residents, it offers your choice of around 2,100 different restaurants.
