Walk down to Yucatan Beach Stand on Old San Carlos Boulevard. A typical south Florida beach bar, this indoor/outdoor bar is located a couple of blocks from the Gulf on Fort Myers Beach. It’s a fun and casual place to eat and drink downtown. The Yucatan is open seven days a week, and hosts live music every day along with many special events most days and evenings.
Mermaid Lounge & Liquors
The Mermaid Lounge & Liquors is a cool laid-back bar located just off the beach at 1204 Estero Boulevard. Popular as a local hang out, the Mermaid Lounge serves drinks only but the establishment allows you to bring in food. Sunday morning “Church” is popular at the Mermaid with killer bloody mary specials offered from 9 am – 1 pm.
Cabasca’s Mexican Cantina
Cabasca’s Mexican Cantina is another hot spot at Fort Myers Beach. The bar/restaurant is vibrant and noisy, especially a fun atmosphere for young 20-somethings. Located near the base of the bridge near Time Square, Cabasca’s features live music and outdoor dining. Not just in New York City, but Time Square in Fort Myers Beach is a mecca for entertainment, outdoor performers, musical acts, dance clubs, shopping, restaurants and ice cream shops.
Smokin Oyster Brewery
Locally known as “S.O.B.,” the Smokin Oyster Brewery is a delightful bar and restaurant located at 340 Old San Carlos Boulevard, just a couple of blocks from the beach. The walls are covered in fun memorabilia from many visitors in the States as well as from international visitors. Live music is featured every night at S.O.B. from 6 pm – 10 pm.
