Reminiscent of an ultra-modern South Beach development, the owners of the Oasis condo development have been given an extension to develop additional towers on the site. The first two towers are built and filled with residents, yet the 3rd through 5th towers will be built over 10 years rather than the previously agreed to seven years. The Fort Myers Council agreed last week to the extension to give the downtown market more time to recover. It should be noted that the first two towers of the Oasis Condos are indeed filling up and have done much to revitalize the east-end of the Fort Myers River District.
A chic riverfront luxury high-rise, the Oasis Condo Towers have drawn residents to the convenient downtown location as well as its tremendous amenities package. Amenities include a South Beach-style pool with cabana beds; landscaped grounds near the water perfect for strolls on the path; meditation garden; inviting tropical gardens; a concierge-style lobby and a private library. The Oasis Towers is walking distance to Downtown Fort Myers River District shops, dining, live music, and art galleries. The residents enjoy stunning views of the Caloosahatchee River from every condo balcony,
While the all the Oasis Condo Towers were originally expected to be completed in September, Lofton Island Developments requested the extension to complete the final phase and to be released from the original agreement of building 10 affordable housing units. Mayor Randy Henderson gave his support along with the Fort Myers Council. The Council also voted for 76 temporary parking spaces to be added to the site.
