Hundreds of new homes are coming to Lee County, with the addition of the lakeside community of WildBlue. Already four major homebuilders have signed on to the master-planned community, with eventual plans to construct 1,000 homes within the gated development.
Recently crews began clearing the land for the new community, and the first homes could be coming soon. WCI Communities, Stock Development, Pulte Homes and Lennar all plan to build in WildBlue, with the first model homes from Pulte and Lennar expected to be finished by mid-2019. Currently plans call for model homes from Stock Development and WCI, also owned by Lennar, sometime later in the year.
The Pulte homes will range from around 1,600 square feet to 3,900 square feet of living space, priced starting from the $400,000s to upwards of $1 million. Pulte plans to build around 250 homes in WildBlue.
The designs from Lennar, in comparison, start at around 1,800 square feet of living space, with some of the largest homes offering 3,800 square feet of space. They’ll be priced from the $400,000s to around $700,000. Lennar also owns the largest acreage of any of the homebuilders in WildBlue, including the community’s largest lake.
Additional options will include homes from around 2,500 square feet to upwards of 4,000 square feet from Stock Development. These homes will range in price from around $600,000 up into the multi-million dollar range. Some reports suggest Stock could build around 150 homes at the site.
As well, there will also be homes from WCI Communities ranging from around $400,000 to $1 million. These homes will provide from around 2,000 to 4,000 square feet of living space.
The nearly 3,000-acre development sits just east of Estero, bordering Alico Road and Corkscrew Road. Included in the large property will be more than 800-acres of lakes and upwards of 1,300-acres of dedicated preserve.
