Babcock National Course Opens

Southwest Florida’s most talked about new community just gained another new addition. Crews have officially opened the Babcock National golf course.

The 18-hole golf course offers a putting green, chipping area and a practice range. Right on Lake Babcock, the golf course joins the Babcock National Golf & Country Club community.

Of course, the new Gordon Lewis-designed course is just one of the highlights of living in this new golf and country club community. Future plans call for a clubhouse with a golf pro shop, a swimming pool and a tennis center with pickleball and Har-Tru tennis courts.

Plans also call for a fitness center at Babcock National, as well as spa treatment rooms. This Lennar lifestyle community features 18 different home designs.

Ranging from multi-family to single-family homes, new buyers have their choice of floor plans in Babcock National, including everything from around 1,100 square feet to more than 3,400 square feet of living space.

The homes of Babcock National are generally priced from the high $100,000s to the $500,000s. Choices include terrace and veranda condos, coach homes, estates and executive single-family homes.

Babcock National is just one new neighborhood in the large, master-planned community. Promoted as the first solar-powered town in the nation, Babcock Ranch features its own Founder’s Square with a lakeside boardwalk, a band shell and retailers including an ice cream shop.

Babcock Ranch also offers community gardens, a neighborhood school, miles of nature trails, and a canoe and kayak launch. Other options for residents include an electric boat tour, fishing, neighborhood playgrounds and dog parks.

The innovative town is additionally focused on sustainability. The development offers an extensive amount of green space and energy efficient home designs. You’ll also find electric, self-driving shuttles in Babcock Ranch, with future plans calling for the addition of on-demand, self-driving cars.
