Fort Myers is full of beautiful homes, neighborhoods and attractions, but there’s one particularly enticing neighborhood that no one seems to know much about. Located in South Fort Myers, Hendry Creek is a quiet, waterfront community with plenty to offer its residents.
Although it may not be as well-known as some other waterfront communities, for some homeowners in Hendry Creek that’s probably a big part of its appeal. Not only does the neighborhood offer some desirable homes but also a number of desirable on-site amenities and a convenient, waterfront location.
Home to around 65 single-family homes, Hendry Creek is a deed-restricted community with lovely homes and lush landscaping. An actual creek of the same name, plus two community lakes help add to the appeal of Hendry Creek with abundant water views from many of the homes.
The neighborhood additionally features such shared amenities as a community boat dock with Gulf access. Boaters only have to take a short ride from the homes of Hendry Creek to reach such desirable destinations as nearby Fort Myers Beach, Lovers Key State Park, or Sanibel and Captiva islands.
The two community lakes of Hendry Creek are stocked with tilapia and bass for fishing, plus the development also offers tennis courts for outdoor fun and recreation. The homes of Hendry Creek vary in style, size and price point, but generally tend to be relatively affordable.
